One week in, and we’re still apartment-less. But we do know, when we finally get an apartment, we’ve agreed on the interior design. Check out this living room featured in Adore Home – an online-only Australian interiors magazine. – all neutral and natural grays and blues with the odd pop of color. It’s not too feminine, it’s not too masculine, it lends itself nicely to a mix of modern and classic furniture. And there’s definitely room for personal touches.
For two days later this month, the New Yorker Hotel will be swamped with media and marketing types, all looking for the golden answer – how to make money from the phenomenon that is Social Media. I dabbled with social media management with the BBC before I left London, but it was never with the intention of making money, such is the BBC way. So I’ll be heading along, with the intention of filling that gap in my knowledge & maybe meeting a few like-minded peeps in my new hometown!
The event is Socialize and it has been put on by those knowing folks at mediabistro.com and runs 31 March – 1 April in NYC
Who would’ve thought? I used to shop at Urban Outfitters when I was a student living in Los Angeles in 2005. I then got a job and discovered dresses, so I graduated to Anthropologie.com… and never looked back… until now. Urban Outfitters does some very cool, very affordable furniture. Now to convince ACT that we really do need a fainting sofa in antique gold velvet and a teal coat rack… for $579 and $79 I don’ t think I’ll have to argue much!
