Truly original Boardwalk Empire x punk wedding
This blog entry is especially for my friends from far and near who have met or heard me talk about my awesome brother John and my (now official!) sister-in-law Stephanie. They got married this past weekend, and being two insanely stylish suckers I knew that there was going to be eye candy for fashion & design. It looked absolutely beautiful and all their own style. Congratulations John, Steph and the coolest of nephews ever, mister Alvin J. WE LOVE YOU ALL!!
Palm Beach food & farmers’ market
This local produce market has been one of the highlights of my 2012 Australian holiday so far. My mum has been coming here for years, but after all the times I’ve visited back home, this is the first time I made the effort to go myself. It has made me so envious of the availability of delicious produce. Not only is there fresh local fruits and vegetables, but potted herbs, eggs, at least three different bakeries, flowers, and many stalls just selling the one thing they’ve got – local avocados, mushrooms or tomatoes.
I’ll take the Ellen, thanks Andre…
Wow! I can’t wait until next year when ACT and I visit my family and friends in Australia. If only to stay in one of Andre’s Mews, in Melbourne.
A boutique hotel-apartment-mews in (my old neighborhood) Melbourne’s Richmond, Andre’s Mews not only looks lush, but has a wonderful story behind it’s existence. A few handfuls of individually designed apartments, built by the owner’s daughter over 8 years to fulfill his dream. It’s really worth checking out their ‘About Us’ page and reading the full story. Full of love and character, this place is like something I’d love to create some day.
