It’s clear I’m not the only one – I must pin about 5 or so things a day, and by my numbers compared to others (repins, likes) is minimal. Some people are pinning 100 times a day, and have 1k+ likes on an item. The process of ‘pinning’ totally justifies randomly searching the web for hidden gems.
Welcome to my lovely looking new website! It seems to have become an annual tradition now, to give this place a design overhaul and fresh new look. The best part is that I get to check in on how WordPress as a platform has advanced – and in the past year it’s come along leaps and bounds.
For two days later this month, the New Yorker Hotel will be swamped with media and marketing types, all looking for the golden answer – how to make money from the phenomenon that is Social Media. I dabbled with social media management with the BBC before I left London, but it was never with the intention of making money, such is the BBC way. So I’ll be heading along, with the intention of filling that gap in my knowledge & maybe meeting a few like-minded peeps in my new hometown!
The event is Socialize and it has been put on by those knowing folks at mediabistro.com and runs 31 March – 1 April in NYC
Right. So I don’t usually talk work on here, but I am aware of the guidelines for communication and talking about the BBC in public, so here goes. I’ve been working in Audio & Music Interactive for the last six months, it’s been such a fascinating experience, I felt I had to write about some of it. Soon I’ll be producing an internal “knees up” and the plan is to do something around the theme Innovation.
